KEY INVESTMENT OPPORTUNITY
SOLVING OIL SANDS & TAILING POND CHALLENGES
Unconsolidated sandstone deposits known as oil sands are comprised primarily of sand, clay and water saturated with bitumen.
Bitumen is a highly viscous and extra-heavy hydrocarbon with average API gravity of 8°. It can be separated into two organic compounds: asphaltene and maltenes.
Asphaltenes have a heavy molecular structure, imparting a high viscosity and density to the oil. They contain nickel, sulfur, vanadium, and ultra-fine particles that reduce the quality of the produced crude oil and make it expensive and difficult to refine.
The main challenge facing mining or thermal operations such as SAGD is obtaining higher profit margins from bitumen without requiring large amounts of hot water or creating toxic tailing ponds.
Alfaluz's technology is an inexpensive, disruptive solution that changes the economics of crude oil production and the image of our customers because it is cleaner, reduces CO2 emissions, and is environmentally friendly, in addition to providing much higher gross margins to operators.
Alfaluz's inline system will become a part of every heavy oil production operation worldwide. The economics of Alfaluz technology over traditional heavy oil treatment methods gives it a strong competitive advantage.
Our forecasts indicate that Alfaluz is developing its business at a rapid pace. Our growth plan targets net positive cash flow in 2021.
This is a ground floor opportunity. The only direction from here is up!
